OVERVIEW
Beech Street Pedestrian Bridge project is to deliver a pedestrian/ cycle bridge over Cedar Creek near Beech Street and Persimmon Street in Ferny Gove.
PROJECT SCOPE
- On grade construction of a 2.5 & 3.0m wide shared concrete pathways, providing linkage from Upper Kedron Rd to Beech St cul-de-sac
- Construction of a 20 m long, single spanned & pre-stressed concrete bridge across Cedar Creek
- Significant earthworks within a densely treed site for the construction of raised walkway embankments required for the construction of new footpath pavements
- D&C construction of insitu concrete 800mm dia. bored pier bridge foundations. Foundations designed to 100yr service life
- Procurement, heavy cranage and erection of 20T prestressed bridge deck units
- Ongoing waterway quality management and infield testing of Cedar Creek
- Native landscaping and site embellishments
