OVERVIEW

The project consisted of the construction of 18 x 2 & 3 bedroom low and highset town houses on an irregular shaped allotment totalling 5,992 square metres, located on the southern side of Northcote Street, Brighton.

The Project required extensive civil works in relation to the stormwater drainage including bridging over an existing sewer main and the installation of new headwall discharging into wetlands.

The ground conditions were classed as a category “P” due to the presence of acid sulphate soils. These challenging foundation conditions were addressed through the use of pile foundations.
